Getting Ready for Middle School Applications

Arabic/Bangla/Chinese/French/Haitian Creole/Korean/Russian/Spanish/Urdu

Dear Family,

Is your child currently in fifth grade (or their final elementary school grade, if different)? If so, they will apply to middle school this year! Throughout middle school admissions, we are committed to providing the information and support you need.

The middle school application is not yet open. We’ll be in touch with more information about the admissions timeline later this fall.

Here’s what you can do now:

  • Learn about middle school admissions! Get the latest updates and watch videos about the admissions process on our website.
  • Find detailed information about schools of interest, and search for schools by course offerings, location, sports, and more in the MySchools middle school directory. Please note that the information in this directory reflects last year’s admissions process and is subject to change; updated school information will be available when the middle school application opens.
  • Make a list of programs that interest you.

What’s next?

Later this fall, public school families will receive a personalized welcome letter in the mail, which includes a unique code to access your child’s MySchools account. You will also be able to request this letter from your child’s current public school. Private school students may reach out to a Family Welcome Center to obtain one —please wait to reach out until you receive an email notification that letters are available. We’ll let you know when letters are on the way.

Best,

The Middle Schools Admissions Team, Office of Student Enrollment
